40mm Sterling & Copper Sunburst Pendant Necklace
with Faceted Rhodonite, Handcrafted Beads & Sterling

Rhodonite is a striking stone that is often cut or carved and used in jewelry. Associated with calcite, pyrite, and other manganese minerals, it appears in a range of colors from pink to dark gray or black and is named for the Greek word for rose, “rhodon.”  Our Rhodonite is Dark Gray with Cream markings, and some traces of Rose. The Stones are beautifully faceted to reflect light, and range in size from 10 to 20 mm. The Rhodonite sets off a 40 mm Sterling and Copper Starburst Pendant by York, Maine artist Jim Daggett.  The Pendant is two-sided, with Sterling Silver overlay on Copper and reverse “Spiraling Sunburst” images on each side. The Pendant imagery is repeated in Two 18 mm Handcrafted Sterling and Copper Beads, which have Sunburst images on one side and a Kokopelli on the other. The Pendant and Rhodonite Stones are further highlighted by Sterling and Copper Beads, including Sterling Silver “Navajo Pearls” by Native American artist Larry Pinto.  The Necklace is finished with an oversized Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Sterling Kokopelli Charm, a Native American icon that embodies the American Southwest. The piece weighs 197 grams and is 22-3/4 inches long. The Pendant is 40 mm in diameter, or approximately 1-5/8”.
