Emerald Valley (NV) and Ma’anshan Turquoise Cross Pendant Necklace with Turquoise, Vintage Jade, African Glass & Sterling
This impressive Turquoise & Sterling Silver Cross Pendant showcases Turquoise from the Emerald Valley Mine in Nevada and the Ma’anshan Mine in China. Crafted by Santa Fe artisan David Umpleby, the Pendant features 11 Oval Stones exhibiting varied shades of Green with Brown Matrix. The Stones are set in individual Raised Bezels with handmade Sterling Silver Balls placed between them. The Pendant has a full Sterling Back and is stamped “Sterling, Made in Santa Fe”, and has the artist’s initials: DEU. The Pendant is draped on an elegant 3-Strand Chain comprised of striking Green Turquoise Barrel Beads, Vintage Afghan Jade, and Olive Green Glass Beads, handmade by artisans in Ghana, West Africa (imported to the U.S. by Bead to Feed, a non-profit organization*). The Stones are complimented by 10-12 mm Sterling Silver Oxidized & Polished Rounds, 8 mm Sterling Bicones, and Sterling Spacers, adding style & sparkle. The Necklace is finished with Ornate Sterling “Bead Cones” and a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp. It is adorned with a Sterling Kokopelli Charm, a Native American icon that symbolizes the American Southwest. The piece weighs 163 grams, and is 25 inches long. The Cross Pendant is 2 inches square.
