Fox Turquoise (NV) and Sterling Pendant Necklace with Two Strands of Turquoise, Shell Heishi & Sterling
This graceful Necklace showcases a Fox Turquoise and Sterling Pendant by Santa Fe artisan David Umpleby. The Fox Turquoise mine is located near Lander County, NV and was once Nevada’s largest producer of Turquoise with some half-million pounds (the mine is now closed). Our Stone is a vivid Blue and is set on a Sterling Silver plate decorated with Scrolls and Balls. The back of the Pendant is Marked “Sterling, Made in Santa Fe,” and has the artist’s initials “DEU.” We’ve paired the pendant with Turquoise Round Ovals in varied shades of Blue and Green, as well as Dark Brown Tortoise Turquoise Rondelles (NV). The Turquoise is spaced with Dark Brown Shell Heishi, enhancing color and design impact. The Stones are highlighted by Polished Sterling Silver Rounds and whimsical Flower Dangles. The Necklace is finished with Plated Silver Oval Tube Beads and a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp. It is adorned with a Sterling Silver Gecko Charm, a lizard native to the US Southwest that symbolizes self-preservation and re-growth. The Necklace weighs 86 grams and is 21-1/2 inches long. The Pendant is 1-3/4” by 1-1/8”.
