Ma’anshan Turquoise & Sterling Pendant Necklace
with Turquoise Graduated Round Disc, Amber, Coin Silver & Sterling
This terrific Necklace features Ma’anshan Turquoise from the Anhui Province of China, a Blue to Aqua-Green Stone with Light Brown Matrix. The Ma’anshan Turquoise and Sterling Pendant was designed by David Umpleby, an accomplished Santa Fe artisan. The Turquoise Oval is skillfully set nearly flush with the Pendant base to highlight the beauty of the Stone. The Pendant has a full Sterling Back and is stamped with the artist’s initials, “DEU,” as well as “Sterling, Made in Santa Fe.” It is matched with Ma’anshan Turquoise Graduated Round Discs that are interspersed with Amber Chips and West African Coin Silver Rondelles. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Flower Cones and a Sterling Toggle Clasp, and is adorned with a Sterling Silver Kokopelli Charm, a Native American icon that symbolizes the American Southwest. The piece weighs 144.6 grams, and is 21-3/4 inches long. The Pendant is 2-1/4” long by 1” wide including a 1/2” Bail.
