Fossil Stone (Orthoceras) & Sterling Pendant Necklace with Coral Round Disc, Smoky Quartz & Sterling
This ”wow” piece showcases a dramatic Orthoceras and Sterling Pendant by York, ME artisan Jim Daggett. Orthoceras fossils are dated back to the Ordovician Age over 400 million years ago, and are some of the earliest recognizable animals. The Pendant has sleek lines that accentuate the Stone, and is further distinguished with notched edges and a custom bail. It is stamped on the back with the artist’s mark and “Sterling.” We’ve matched the Pendant with vibrant Red Coral Round Disc, ranging in diameter from 15 to 21 mm. The Coral is highlighted by Smoky Quartz Nuggets & Rounds, Oxidized Sterling Rounds, and two 10 by 19 mm Handcrafted Sterling Box Beads with Kokopelli markings. The Necklace Strand transitions from Coral Round Chip to Red Coral Barrel Beads and Rondelles, and is finished with Silver Cones and a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp. The piece is adorned with a Sterling Silver Kokopelli, a Native American icon that embodies the American Southwest. The Necklace weighs 159 grams and is 22-1/2 inches long. The Pendant is 3-1/4 inches long and 1-3/8 inches wide including a 1/4 inch bail.
