18-Stone Red Spiny Oyster Shell and Sterling Pendant
with Spiny Oyster Shell Chip, Swarovski & Sterling
This terrific Necklace features an 18-Stone Spiny Oyster Shell and Sterling Silver Pendant designed by Santa Fe artist Dan Dodson. The center Shell is coral-red in color with white striations; the 17 teardrop-shaped Shells that ring the center are a perfect color match. All of the Shells are set in raised Sterling Silver Bezels, and each teardrop Shell is separated from the next by a Sterling Silver Ball. These design features are integrated into the Sterling Band encircling the design. The Pendant has an oversized custom Bail with a linear pattern, giving the design a radiant look. The piece is stamped with the artist’s hallmark and “Sterling.” We’ve paired the Pendant with Graduated Spiny Oyster Shell Chip, ranging in length from 8 to 24mm. The Chip is highlighted by Indian Red Swarovski Crystal Bicones, Sterling Double-Ring Spacers, and 4 Sterling Melon Beads in 10 and 15mm diameters. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Rounds and a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Sterling Kokopelli Charm, a Native American icon that symbolizes the American Southwest. The piece weighs 91 grams, and is 24 inches long. The Pendant is 2-3/4” tall by 1-3/4” wide, including a 1” Bail.
