Four-Strand Antique Sherpa Glass Necklace with
Coral, Black Tourmaline, Shell Heishi & Sterling

This vibrant Necklace displays antique Sherpa “Coral” Glass beads, made by the Sherpa people.  The Sherpas are a tribe of Tibetan origin who occupy the high valleys around the base of Mount Everest in northeastern Nepal.  These rare faux Coral beads were used in trade and are estimated to be from the early 1900’s. The beads are barrel-shaped and are varied shades of coral with black shading. They are in excellent condition. We’ve combined our Sherpa Glass with Coral Cylinder Beads, rough-cut and polished Black Tourmaline, and dark brown Oyster Shell Heishi.  The Stones are highlighted by varied Sterling Silver Beads including Rondelles, Discs, and Oxidized Rounds; a 27mm Hill Tribe 99% Sterling Silver Urn Bead is displayed at the Necklace Center. The Necklace is finished with Bali Stamped Sterling Silver Cone Beads and a Sterling Toggle Clasp. The piece weighs 127 grams and is 24 inches long.
