Turquoise & Sterling Silver “Snake” Pendant Necklace
with Turquoise Ovals, Smoky Quartz & Coin Silver
This striking Necklace features a Navajo-made Turquoise & Sterling Pendant wrapped by a Sterling Snake. The Turquoise Stone is soft Blue-Green with crackled Black Matrix. The Pendant is beautifully crafted with a Sloped Face and Etched Bezel. The Snake is also etched (perhaps a Rattler), and meanders along the side and across the top of the Turquoise Stone. The artist’s name is not indicated, though the back of the Pendant is marked with a tiny Arrow and “925.” We’ve paired the Pendant with color-matched 20 by 26 mm Turquoise Round Ovals and Smoky Quartz Rounds. The Stones are highlighted by Coin Silver Rondelles and Double Ring Spacers. The Necklace transitions from a single strand to two strands of Smoky Quartz Rounds, and is finished with a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp. It is adorned with a Sterling Silver Kokopelli, a Native American icon that embodies the American Southwest. The piece weighs 165 grams and is 19-1/2 inches long. The Pendant is 2-3/8” by 1-1/2” including a 3/8” bail.
