Snowflake Obsidian 2-Strand Necklace with
Rutilated Quartz, Vintage Jet, Onyx & Sterling

This engaging 2-Strand Necklace showcases Snowflake Obsidian Flat Ovals, with a multifaceted cut that accentuates the beauty of  the Stone.  The Obsidian Ovals are 22 by 28mm with a jet black background decorated by white matrix in a “snowflake” pattern. We’ve paired the Obsidian with Cubes of Rutilated Quartz,* Vintage Jet Beads and Onyx Rounds, adding dimension and color depth.  The Stones are highlighted by 12mm Sterling Silver Bicones with a spiral pattern, and 10mm Sterling Rounds with a Filigree cutout.  The two strands of Snowflake Obsidian transition to four strands of 8mm Onyx Rounds, streamlining the design and ensuring it is comfortable to wear.  The piece is finished with a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and a handcrafted Sterling Silver “Southwest Designs” Charm.  The Necklace weighs 207 grams and the two strands are 21 inches and 22-1/2 inches long.

* Rutilated Quartz is a type of Quartz with streaks of Rutile -- a titanium dioxide material -- embedded in it. Rutile, derived from the Latin word “rutilus,” or red, can be reddish in color but more often golden or silver (our stone is silvery with a golden tint).  Rutilated Quartz is found in many parts of the world including Australia, Brazil, Norway, Pakistan and the United States.
