Turquoise, Sterling and Copper “Bell” Pendant
with Turquoise Drum Beads, Copper and Sterling

This appealing Necklace showcases a Turquoise, Sterling and Copper “Bell” Pendant by Metalsmith Jim Daggett. The Pendant was handcrafted from layered sheets of Sterling Silver and Copper which were cut, melted and fused together. The face of the Pendant was then overlaid with Sterling to create a shimmery and glazed effect.  The center of the Pendant has an 8 by 13mm Turquoise Oval set in a Sterling raised bezel. The Pendant has a custom Sterling Bail and is engraved on the back with the artist’s initials, “JWD.” We’ve hung the Pendant on a strand of 10 by 12mm Turquoise Drum Beads, color-matched to the Stone in the Pendant. Each Turquoise Stone is separated from the next by small 2mm Discs of Oyster Shell Heishi to increase the flexibility of the strand.  On either side of the Pendant is a 7 by 18mm Sterling Silver Stamped Teardrop Cone Bead; these Cones are also used at the top of the Necklace strand.  The Turquoise is further highlighted by 7 by 8mm Sterling Bicones and 8mm Stamped Copper Rounds. The Necklace is finished with a Sterling Silver Triangular-shaped Toggle Clasp and adorned with a handcrafted Copper “Southwest Designs” Charm (not shown). The piece weighs 102 grams and is 19 inches long.  The Pendant is 1-5/8” tall by 1-1/4” wide including a 3/8” Bail.
