This elegant Necklace showcases and Green Mist Variscite and Sterling Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. Variscite is a relatively rare phosphate mineral that is prized for its dark spiderwebbing and range of green colors. Our Variscite stone was discovered in Lander County, Nevada, and is a striking mint green with dark & light brown matrix. The stone has been cut in a triangular shape and is wrapped in a Sterling Silver Bezel surrounded by Sterling Silver Balls, which add style and sparkle. The Variscite sits on Sterling Silver Plate that mirrors the shape of the stone excepting a gentle curve at the bottom. The Pendant hangs from a custom V-shaped Sterling Bail, and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Pendant with 2 strands of 6mm Jade Rounds and a strand of 6mm Aventurine Rounds, which have been combined to produce a blended palate of greens and tans (the Aventurine is the lighter of the green stones). The colors pair beautifully with the Variscite while adding luminescence to the design. The Jade and Aventurine are paired with 6mm translucent green Fire Polished Glass, which is faceted and emits a subtle shine. The stones are further highlighted by six 8mm Sterling Silver Urn Beads, which shimmer amidst the rich green hues. At the top of the Necklace the 3 strands of Jade and Aventurine transition to 3 strands of 3mm Fire Polished Glass, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Rounds and a Wavy Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 115 grams and is 20-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-1/4 inches by 1-1/8 inches including the 5/8-inch Bail (when wearing, a vertical hang length of about 10 inches).
