This elegant Necklace showcases a striking Kingman Turquoise and Reticulated Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The Turquoise Stone – mined in northwestern Arizona – is a vivid turquoise-blue, splashed with traces of golden brown. The Stone has an oblong shape, and is approximately 1-1/8" long by 3/8" wide. It is set in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel on a radiant backdrop created by "splashing" molten Reticulated Silver on a work surface, with repeated attempts until the desired form is achieved. Reticulation results from heating Sterling Silver at high temperatures; the Copper alloy in the interior of the metal flows before the surface metal does, creating wonderful ridges and textures. Reticulation creates unique, one-of-a-kind pieces — a wonderful effect. We've paired the Pendant with 2 strands of 6mm Turquoise Rondelles, which are a blend of blues with brown matrix. The Stones pair beautifully with the Pendant, and are a graceful counterpart. The Turquoise is highlighted by 8mm and 10mm Bench-Made Sterling Silver Rounds, situated on either side of the Pendant Bail. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 75 grams and is 20-1/4 inches in length plus the Pendant, which is 3 inches long by 1-1/16 inches wide, including a 1/2-inch Bail (when wearing, about an 11-inch vertical hang length).
