This striking Necklace showcases 2 Sterling Silver Tufa Cast Pendants by Navajo artist Merle House. House is an accomplished Silversmith from Gallup, New Mexico. He crafted the Pendants in a mold made from tufa stone, which is a compressed volcanic ash material found on the Navajo reservation. Both Pendants display the image of a Kokopelli, complimented by a geometric design. They are imprinted with texture from the stone and are oxidized, bringing the patterns into high relief. The Pendants are displayed on 4 strands of Bamboo Coral Triangles, which are offset-drilled to enhance the Coral's profile. The Coral is complemented by:

  • 2.5mm Tortoise Shell Heishi
  • 4mm Translucent Gray Fire Polished Glass Ovals and Silver Glass Bicones
  • Ten 8mm Oxidized Sterling Silver Rounds

These elements add translucency, subtle sparkle and shine to the design. At the top of the Necklace the 4 strands of Coral transition to Tortoise Shell Heishi, streamlining the silhouette. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Rounds and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 116 grams and the 4 strands are 22 inches long plus the Pendants, which are 2-1/2 inches long by 5/8-inches wide.
