This exceptional Necklace displays 4 strands of Shattuckite & Blue Hawk's Eye Rounds. Shattuckite is a relatively rare copper silicate mineral. It was first discovered in 1915 in the copper mines of Bisbee, Arizona, specifically the Shattuck Mine (hence the name). Blue Hawk's Eye is a member of the quartz group and is related to the Tiger Eye gemstone. It has a silky, lustrous appearance gained from the parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals. Our 8mm Shattuckite is a wonderful blend of turquoise and navy blue hues with brown matrix. The 4mm Hawk's Eye is luminous turquoise blue. The colors are both eye-catching and versatile. The gemstones are separated by 3mm brown Olive Shell Heishi. The Heishi adds visual interest to the design and allows the larger stones to be viewed more clearly. At the top of the Necklace the 4 strands of Shattuckite and Hawk's Eye transition to 4 strands of Olive Shell Heishi, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 114 grams and the 4 Necklace strands are each 24-1/2 inches long (when wearing, a vertical length of about 10 inches).
