This striking Necklace features a 44-Stone Turquoise and Sterling Silver Naja Pendant by Santa Fe Jewelry Artist Dan Dodson. The Pendant has 2 concentric circles of seafoam green Turquoise Rounds & Teardrops, enhanced by center and top arrangements of 4-and-5 stones each. The Turquoise has been ornamented by Twisted Sterling Silver Wire and 25 individually crafted Sterling Silver Balls. These elements are all soldered to Sterling Silver Plate, which has been cut to mirror the shape of the Naja and Stones. The Sterling Plate is oxidized on the front, enhancing the design. The Pendant has a back Sterling Loop Bail and is stamped with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling."
The Naja Pendant is paired with 3 strands of color-matched Turquoise Heishi. The Heishi is 6mm in diameter and displays attractive variation in hues with flecks of brown matrix. The Turquoise is highlighted by 6mm Sterling Silver Rounds, 4mm Ridged Sterling Rondelles, and 3, 4 & 6mm translucent green Fire Polished Glass Ovals, adding subtle sparkle and shine. The Pendant is flanked by additional Sterling Silver Beads, including 8mm Rounds and 14mm Discs. These Beads provide a graceful transition from the Pendant to the Turquoise Heishi and add visual interest to the design. At the top of the Necklace the 3 strands of Turquoise Heishi transition to 3 strands of 3mm Fire Polished Glass, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 105 grams and is 20-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-3/4 inches by 2-1/8 inches.
