This elegant Necklace showcases a 5-Stone Campitos Turquoise and Sterling Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. Campitos Turquoise is mined in Cananea — a city in the northern Mexican state of Sonora — and is known for its vibrant, rich-blue color and traces of Pyrite, which give the stone luster and sparkle. Campitos is found in deposits of clay where it develops into free-form, uniquely shaped nuggets. Our Campitos Turquoise stones are gracefully contoured and flecked with silvery Pyrite, enhancing the design. The center stone is an impressive 1-1/2 inches by 1-3/4 inches. It is set in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel on a plate of Sterling Silver and surrounded by 4 "satellite" stones, which range from 3/4-inch to 1-inch in diameter. The 4 smaller stones are set in raised Sterling Bezels set on Sterling Plate, and are arrayed around the lower half of the central Campitos Turquoise stone. The Pendant hangs from a custom v-shaped Sterling Bail and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Southwest Designs." We've paired this stylish Pendant with 2 strands of Nevada Turquoise Graduated Nuggets, ranging from 4mm to 12mm in dimension. The Turquoise is color-matched to the Pendant stone and has golden brown matrix. The stones are highlighted by 6mm translucent gray Fire Polished Glass, and by six 7-by-30mm Sterling Silver Feather Charms. The Charms have intricate detailing including a wrapped Feather quill. At the top of the Necklace the 2 strands of Turquoise Nuggets transition to 4mm translucent gray Fire Polished Glass, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Rounds and a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 150 grams and is 20-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-3/8 inches by 3-3/4 inches including the 1/2-inch Bail.
