This outstanding Necklace features a Turquoise and Sterling Silver Pendant by Zuni artisan Albert Jake. Jake specializes in traditional set stones and cluster jewelry with intricate stamping, and this Pendant is an outstanding example of his work. The Pendant displays 9 pieces of rare Natural Royston Turquoise, from the Royston Mining District near Tonapah, Nevada. A glossy blue center Stone has been wrapped in a Twisted Rope Bezel and surrounded by 8 petal-shaped Royston Turquoise Stones in hues of blue and green. The Stones are interspersed with 16 Sterling Silver Balls, 8 of which have been stamped with the image of a 8-petal flower. Wonderful symmetry. The Sterling Silver base of the Pendant has been cut to wrap the Turquoise Stones and intricately etched and oxidized. The Pendant is linked to a custom Bail with similar etching, and is stamped on the back with the artist’s hallmark and “Sterling.” We’ve matched the Pendant with 4 strands of Turquoise in hues of blue and green including 6mm and 8mm Rounds, 6mm Cubes, and 7x10mm Drum Beads. The Turquoise is highlighted by Sterling Silver Ridged Rounds and Crown Beads, mirroring the textures in the Pendant. At the top of the Necklace the Turquoise transitions to dark brown Pen Shell Heishi, streamlining the silhouette. The piece is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and an oversized Stamped Sterling Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The Necklace weighs 167 grams and is 22 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-1/2 inches by 2-1/4 inches including a 3/4-inch Bail.
