Sherpa Bead 6-Strand Necklace with Coral, Tourmaline & Sterling Sherpa Bead 6-Strand Necklace with Coral, Tourmaline & Sterling Sherpa Bead 6-Strand Necklace with Coral, Tourmaline & Sterling

This vibrant Necklace displays antique Sherpa “Coral” Glass Beads, made by the Sherpa people. The Sherpas are a tribe of Tibetan origin who occupy the high valleys around the base of Mount Everest in northeastern Nepal. These rare replica Coral Beads were used in trade and are estimated to be from the early 1900’s. The Sherpa Glass is barrel-shaped and displays varied shades of coral with black shading. The colors are rich and the Beads are in excellent condition. We’ve combined our Sherpa Glass with Coral Cylinder Beads, rough-cut and polished Black Tourmaline, and dark brown Pen Shell Heishi. The Stones are highlighted by varied Sterling Silver Beads – including Rondelles, Discs, and Oxidized Rounds – along with 4 Sterling Silver Hand-Stamped Cross Charms that are 1-inch tall by 3/4-inch wide. The Necklace is finished with Stamped Sterling Silver Cones and a Sterling Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 180 grams and is 25 inches long.
