This graceful Necklace features a Carnelian, Pyrite and Sterling Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The Pendant Stone is a fused Carnelian and Pyrite Cabochon, created by "One of a Kind Designer Cabs", a company specializing in "unique custom free form shapes with high luster polish." The diamond-shaped Stone is an eye-catching amalgamation of translucent, coral-colored Carnelian and silver-gold Pyrite. It has been wrapped in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel and set on a plate of Sterling Silver that has been cut to match the shape of the Stone. The Sterling has a progression of stamped linear "rays," producing a radiant effect. The Pendant has a triangular-shaped Bail that has been marked in a similar fashion. The back of the Pendant is stamped with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Carnelian and Pyrite Pendant with Fractured Carnelian Nuggets, which are a rich coral-peach in color. The Stones range in size from 8-by-14mm to 14-by-18mm, and are semi-opaque with translucence around the edges. They have an Old World feel and add a touch of sophistication. The Carnelian is complemented by topaz-colored 4mm Czech Firepolished Glass and 7mm champagne Crackle Glass Rounds, and highlighted by 10mm Hammered Sterling Silver Rings. At the top of the Necklace the Fractured Carnelian transitions to Fire Polished Glass, adding subtle sparkle and streamlining the silhouette of the piece. The Necklace is finished with a Hammered Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 98 grams and is 20-3/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-3/8 inches by 1-3/8 inches including a 1/2-inch Bail.
