This exceptional Necklace showcases a Kingman Turquoise and Sterling Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The Pendant is an impressive 3-1/4 inches by 1-1/2 inches in dimension, plus the 1-inch Sterling Bail. It features a 3/8-inch thick piece of Kingman Turquoise that has been cut into a rectangular shape and polished to a soft sheen. The stone displays a range of blues from light blue to cyan with attractive brown matrix. The Turquoise is ornamented with a Sterling Silver Kokopelli, which is adhered with Sterling Silver Posts that have been embedded in the Stone. According to Navajo legend, Kokopelli is respected as a God of harvest and plenty, as well as a bearer of good luck. Our Kokopelli stands 2-3/8 inches tall, wears a headdress of feathers, and is playing a melodic flute. The Turquoise and Kokopelli are encased in Sterling Silver Sheet that forms the back and sides of the Pendant. The Sterling Circle Bail is decorated with 6 dangles, comprised of 4mm Matubo Aqua Picasso Glass Rondelles, 3mm translucent green Czech Fire Polished Glass Ovals, and 3mm Sterling Silver Rounds. The back of the Pendant is adorned with a Sterling Plate marked "Southwest Designs" and is stamped with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." A striking and uncommon piece.
We've matched the Pendant with 3 strands of Graduated Turquoise Rounds, ranging in dimension from 5 to 10mm. The Turquoise displays a range of color including light & dark green, light blue and cyan. The blend is attractive and eye catching. The stones are complemented by several types of Czech Glass, including two 9-by-13mm Aqua Faceted Saucers on either side of the Pendant Bail. Other cuts include 6mm Picasso Green Flat Cut Rounds, 5mm Silver Diamond Fire Polished Glass Ovals, and 3mm translucent green Fire Polished Glass Ovals. The Fire Polished Glass is faceted, giving off a subtle sparkle. The Turquoise is highlighted by eight 8-by-10mm Sterling Silver Bench-Made Rounds which were handcrafted by Navajo artist Tony Becenti. The Necklace is finished with Fire Polished Glass and Sterling Silver Rounds and Hammered Toggle Clasp. It is adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 188 grams (about 7 ounces) and is 19-3/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 4-1/4 inches by 1-1/2 inches including the 1-inch Bail (when wearing, a vertical length of about 11 inches).
