This eye-catching Necklace features a Kingman Turquoise and Sterling Silver Zia Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The Pendant is formed in the shape of the Zia Sun Symbol, which originated with the Indians of Zia Pueblo in ancient times. At the center of the Pendant is a striking Kingman Turquoise Stone, approximately 29mm (1-1/6") in diameter. The Stone is brilliant blue flecked with gray matrix, and has been polished to a glossy sheen. It is wrapped in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel and thick band of Twisted Sterling Wire. The Stone is set on 2 fused layers of Sterling Silver plate, embellished with four groups of "Rays" formed from Sterling Silver Wire. The Pendant hangs from a custom Sterling Silver Bail with linear etching. It is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Pendant with 3 strands of 6mm Kingman Turquoise Rondelles, a perfect color match. The Rondelles have been hand-cut and are slightly irregular in circumference, creating texture and design interest. The Kingman Turquoise is interspersed with 3mm silvery Czech Fire Polished Glass, 3mm Sterling Stamped Cylinders, and 7-by-11mm Sterling Stamped Box Beads. At the top of the Necklace the Kingman Turquoise Rondelles transition to Czech Fire Polished Glass, streamlining the silhouette. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 110 grams and is 19-1/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-3/8 inches by 2-5/8 inches including the 3/4-inch bail.
