This impressive Necklace showcases a Kingman Turquoise (AZ) and Sterling Silver Pendant by Native American artist Betta Lee. The oval Turquoise Stone is bright blue with a speckled matrix of light blue and gray. The Stone is set in a raised Sterling Bezel with linear etching. The Bezel is wrapped in 3mm notched Sterling, and set on an oval plate of Sterling Silver that has been both etched and cut in a Radius pattern. The Pendant is stamped on the back with the artist’s hallmark and “Sterling.” We’ve paired the Pendant with 4 strands of Troy Springs Turquoise Nuggets, from the Troy Springs Mine located at the southern end of the Pilot Mountains in Mineral County, Nevada (also known as the Montezuma or Pilot Mountain Mine). The Turquoise mirrors the stone in the Pendant; it ranges in color from light to bright blue with gray and black matrix. The Nuggets are predominently oval-shaped and range in length from 8mm to 16mm. We’ve highlighted the Turquoise with Pyrite Nuggets and near-black Vintage Nailheads, adding contrast and sparkle. The Necklace is finished with 1-1/2” curved, striped Sterling Silver Cones and an oversized Stamped Sterling Toggle Clasp. It is adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 135 grams and is 21 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-7/8 inches by 1-5/8 inches including a 5/8” bail.
