This appealing Necklace features a Kings Mine Turquoise and Sterling Silver Cross Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. Kings Mine is located near Manassa, Colorado, and was actively mined by Native Americans for centuries. The mine is not currently active, so Kings Mine Turquoise is quite rare to find. The Pendant has 4 matching near-oval Turquoise stones that are a rich turquoise hue with light brown matrix. The stones are set in raised Sterling Silver Bezels on Sterling Silver Plate that has been cut in the shape of an equal-sided Cross. The Center of the Cross is ornamented with a Sterling Silver Concho Button and 4 Sterling Silver Balls. The Pendant hangs from a narrow, linear-shaped Sterling Bail and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Pendant with 2 strands of color-matched Turquoise Rondelles that are 6.5mm in dimension. The Rondelles are nicely cut and shapad and are high-quality stone. The Turquoise is complemented by 4mm light green Fire Polished Glass, which is faceted and gives off a subtle sparkle. The stones are further highlighted by four 9mm Sterling Silver Rounds, which are diamond-cut and attractively stamped. The Sterling Silver mirrors the Sterling in the Pendant. At the top of the Necklace the 2 strands of Turquoise Rondelles transition to 4 and 6mm Sterling Silver Rounds, streamlining the silhouette. The Necklace is finished with a Wavy Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 88 grams and is 20-1/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-1/8 inches by 2-3/8 inches including the 1/2-inch Sterling Bail (when wearing, a vertical length of about 10 inches).
