This great Necklace showcases a Peacock Jasper and Copper Pendant by Santa Fe artist David Umpleby. The diamond-shaped Jasper Stone has swirls of coral, cream and chocolate brown, and is encased in a shiny Copper Bezel. It is set on a plate of Copper which is cut to follow the contours of the Stone and has a raised edge. The artist has oxidized the space between the edge and Pendant Bezel to set off the brown tones in the Stone. The Pendant has a Copper Loop Bail and full Copper back, which is stamped with the artist’s hallmark ”DEU.” We’ve paired the Pendant with two strands of coral-colored 6mm White Heart Beads. The White Hearts are woven through 16mm Ornate Domed Copper Beads and integrated with 4mm Bronze Pearls and 7-by-10mm Stamped Copper Rondelles. The Necklace is finished with 8mm Copper Bicones and a Copper Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Copper Charm (not shown). The piece weighs 108 grams and is 21 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-7/8 inches tall by 1-3/4 inches wide including a 1/2-inch bail.
