This remarkable Necklace features a Peanut Wood* and Sterling Silver Pendant by Silversmith Jim Daggett. Peanut Wood, a relatively rare fossil, exhibits beautiful markings formed during the fossilization of the wood. Our Stone is a striking chocolate brown with shades of caramel, mixed with cream. The Peanut Wood has been set in a raised bezel on a plate of Sterling Silver and wrapped in a Twisted Sterling Rope. The Silver Plate has been intricately notched and stamped, adding another layer of detail. The finished piece is 2-1/8” diameter, plus a 5/8” custom Bail. We’ve paired the Pendant with 3 strands of 6mm Bronzite rounds, a rich dark brown Stone with subtle metallic flecks. The Bronzite is complemented by translucent Amber Quartz rounds, and teardrop-shaped Czech Glass in tan and cream. The Stones are highlighted by six 9mm stamped Sterling Silver Rounds with diamond cutouts. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and a Wrapped Sterling Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 154 grams and is 20-1/2 inches long, plus the Pendant.

* Peanut Wood is a petrified wood, found near the coastal town of Carnarvon, Western Australia, about 500 miles north of Perth. It is estimated to be around 120 million years old.
