This eye-catching Necklace features a Septarian Nodule and Sterling Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. Septarian Nodules were formed 50 to 70 million years ago, and are comprised of Calcite, Aragonite and Limestone. The name comes from the Latin word "septum," meaning seven, as the developing Nodules had a tendency to crack 7 points in every direction, creating their distinctive pattern. Our Septarian Nodule stone displays an eye-catching pattern in chocolate, dark brown and cream. It is polished to a silky sheen and wrapped in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel. The stone sits on Sterling Silver Plate that has been crafted as a Sterling Silver Star with 12 points. The Pendant drapes from a custom Sterling Silver Bail, and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling."
We've matched the Stone with 2 strands of 12mm Faceted Glass in varying shades of brown with silver and white markings. The Faceted Glass is interspersed with 6mm translucent Smoky Quartz Rounds, 6mm Onyx Rounds, and 4mm dark brown Glass Cubes, mirroring tones in the Pendant. The Stones are highlighted by four 10mm Sterling Silver Tiered Rondelle Beads, adding shine. At the top of the Necklace the Faceted Glass transitions to Smoky Quartz Rounds, streamlining the design and ensuring a comfortable fit. The piece is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The Necklace weighs 170 grams and is 22-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-1/2 inches in diameter including the Bail (when wearing, a vertical length of about 11 inches).
