This uncommon Necklace features a Sonora Sunset and Sterling Trapezoid-shaped Pendant by Nevada artist Jim Daggett. The stone – from a mine in Sonora, Mexico – has been cut, shaped and polished to display a striking pattern of red (Cuprite), green (Chrysocolla) and black (Iron), with the three minerals proportionately balanced. The finished Cabochon is set in a raised Bezel that is encased by 37 individually crafted Sterling Balls. These are wrapped by a raised border stamped with a linear design. The Pendant is stamped on the back with the artist’s hallmark and “Sterling.” We’ve paired the Pendant with two strands of glossy black Hypersthene Ovals, which are 7x9mm in dimension. The Hypersthene is complemented by two handcrafted Sonora Sunset Cylinders, approximately 20mm in diameter. The stones are highlighted by four 6x12mm polished Sterling Silver Wide Spacers, which flank the Pendant Bail. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Hammered Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 114 grams and is 21-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant. The Pendant is 2-1/8-inch by 1-1/4-inch including the 3/8-inch Bail.
