This graceful Necklace features a striking Spiny Oyster Shell and Sterling Silver Pendant by Navajo artist Bette Lee. The Spiny Oyster Shell center stone is coral-orange, and displays characteristic color striations. The Shell is wrapped in twisted Sterling Silver Wire, and set on an oval-shaped plate of Sterling Silver, which has been slightly oxidized. 27 Sterling Silver curved spokes spring from the perimeter of the Spiny Oyster Shell, arching across the pendant to the outside edge. The Pendant edge is further decorated by 27 handcrafted Sterling Silver Discs, which are placed between the curved Sterling wires. The creative design gives the appearance of a radiant sun. The Pendant hangs from a v-shaped Sterling Silver Bail and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired Bette Lee's Pendant with 2 strands of Apple Coral Graduated Rondelles, which range in diameter from 4-to-11mm. The Coral is color matched to the Spiny Oyster Shell Pendant stone, and enhances the vibrant motif. The Apple Coral is highlighted by four 11-by-13mm Fluted Sterling Silver Rounds, which are positioned on either side of the Pendant Bail. At the top of the Necklace the Apple Coral transitions to 6mm and 7mm Sterling Silver Rounds. The piece is finished with a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The Necklace weighs 102 grams and is 21-1/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-1/8 inches by 2-1/8 inches including the 5/8-inch Bail.
