This graceful Necklace showcases a striking Uvarovite Drusy and Sterling Silver Pendant by Santa Fe artist David Umpleby. Uvarovite is a rare form of garnet, with a striking emerald-green color. Our Pendant Stone is an Uvarovite Drusy, an uncommon variation found in the Ural Mountains of Russia. It is characterized by tiny crystals deposited on a host rock surface, and is highly collectible. Our Uvarovite Drusy is set in a raised Sterling Bezel wrapped with tiny Sterling Balls. Above the Stone is a crown of oxidized Sterling Silver plate, decorated with 9 Sterling Balls and flourishes of polished Sterling Silver wire. The Pendant hangs from a custom Sterling Bail with matching Sterling Ball detail. The piece is stamped on the back with the artists initials "DEU" and "Sterling, Made in Santa Fe." We've paired the Uvarovite with 2 strands of color-matched 6mm Jade Rounds, polished to a soft luster. The Jade is highlighted by pale-green 4mm Moss Agate rounds, silvery Czech Firepolished Glass, and four 9-by-10mm Sterling Silver Spiral Bicones. These elements add color depth, texture and subtle sparkle. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and a Stamped Sterling Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 78 grams and is 21-1/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-1/2 inches by 1-3/8 inches including the Bail.
