This outstanding Necklace features a collection of 44 Navajo Hand-Carved Kingman Turquoise Amulets, also known as Fetishes. The Fetishes are classic Kingman Turquoise blue in hue, and include intricately fashioned Bears, Rabbits, Wolves, Squirrels, Birds, Horses, Foxes, Turtles, Buffalo, a Duck & a Whale. They range in size from 6-by-10mm to 10-by-23mm. Though there are similarities in form each Fetish has its own unique personality. This is a wonderful display of craftsmanship that will enrich any Jewelry-lover's collection.
We've arranged the Fetishes along 3 strands of 3mm Olive Shell Heishi — which are graduated in length — in series of 13 (on the shortest strand), 14 and 15. The Heishi is gathered toward the top by 2 Turquoise Wolves — completing the 44-piece array — and is adorned by 3-by-5mm Turquoise Tubes, 3-and-4mm light green and aqua Picasso Czech Glass Rondelles, and eight 5-by-7mm Hill Tribe Silver Feather-Print Rondelles, adding translucency and subtle shine. At the top of the Necklace the 3 strands of Fetishes transition to 3 strands of Olive Shell Heishi, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 64 grams and the 3 Necklace strands are 24-1/2", 25-1/2" and 26-1/2" long.
