This terrific Necklace showcases a Sterling Silver Coyote Pendant by Native American artist Alonzo Mariano. The Coyote is gracefully shaped and has intricate stamping, including areas that have been oxidized to emphasize the patterns. The Coyote Pendant is box construction — or 3-dimensional — giving it added personality and appeal. It hangs from a custom Sterling Silver Bail which has also been intricately detailed. The piece is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." A wonderful and uncommon piece of art.
We've paired the Sterling Coyote with 5 strands of 6mm Turquoise Rondelles. The Turquoise is a beautiful sky-blue with golden brown matrix and is polished to a soft luster. We've placed a disc of 3mm Olive Shell Heishi between each of the Turquoise stones, adding structure to the design and enhancing the Necklace's visual appeal. The Turquoise is ornamented by six 8mm Sterling Silver Bench-Made Rounds and four 8.5mm Sterling Silver Rondelle Beads, adding luster and shine. The stones are further complemented by 8mm turquoise & brown Czech Luster Glass Rounds, 10mm translucent blue Czech Glass Saucers, 4mm Pyrite Rondelles, 4mm translucent green Fire Polished Glass, and 6mm light-tan Faceted Glass, adding color depth, translucency and subtle sparkle. At the top of the Necklace the 5 strands of Turquoise Rondelles transition to 5 strands of Olive Shell Heishi, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 122 grams and is 21-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3-3/8 inches by 1-3/4 inches including a 1-inch Bail.
